The Sunburst #ShareYourShutters Winner for Fall 2017

David White

Congratulations to the latest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters features two rooms in her home decked out with stylish new Polywood plantation shutters that beautifully accentuate both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Neutral Living Area With Shutters

Chelsey, who goes by Taste of Coffey on Instagram, is a Boston-based home designer with an eye for color in her home design. A quick look at her space shows how she intersperses both neutral and brighter tones for a look that’s welcoming and comfortable, but fashionable all at the same time.

She even offered some advice for homeowners in Miami and beyond:

  • Always have a color scheme. When you go about decorating a room, you can always adjust colors to customize it. Try to utilize tones either from your interior color pallet or ones that can complement it.

  • Be flexible in how you use colors. We chose shutters that are vibrant white and most of our furniture includes shades of gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So we chose to mix in pops of color and white accents.

Decorated Room With Polywood Plantation Shutters

Not only does Chelsey excel at using colors in her design, but her use of space in her house is on point, too. From the placement of her chairs that lead the eyes right up to the wall and her plantation shutters, to the evenly-spaced accessories in her shelving, Chelsey’s space is fashionable, practical, and extremely cozy without ever looking overdecorated.

As our #ShareYourShutters winner this season, we’ll send Chelsey a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to featuring her designs here. To see her entire body of work, take a look at her design site at

And if you think your new shutters look great enough to be our next winner, share them on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. We want to see another Miami home featured as a winner!
