Green Manufacturing And Recycled Shutters In Miami

Not only are Polywood® shutters a fully recyclable shutter, but they also contain up to 20% recycled Polywood content. We’re the only shutter company in Miami or even America that does that.

Sunburst supports green design, products, and buildings. We reuse our materials whenever it’s feasible. We recycle water used to cool parts when they’re finished in the ovens. We reuse packaging supplies. We reuse shutter scraps – or regrind them and recycle them into new shutters. Each year we recycle hundreds of tons of materials.

When we package our window treatments to be transported to your residence for installation, we place reusable corner pieces on the sides of the louvers and use as little cardboard as possible to pack up the shutters.

Non-Toxic Paint Finish For Shutters

Our interior shutters use paints and finishes that are shown to be hypoallergenic and environmentally safe. In our manufacturing process, none of our paints emit fumes. We mean it when we claim our paints aren’t toxic.

Polywood Shutters do not give off harmful gasses – so you and your household can breathe easily and savor your window treatments.

The Only Shutter Recycling Program in Miami, FL

If you ever want to change your window treatment styles, we have a shutter recycling program in Miami to keep Polywood shutters out of landfills. You simply have to take down the shutters on your own, and call our store manager at 305-520-7515 to arrange a pick-up. We will pick up your shutters and reuse them in one form or another in future Polywood shutters. This applies to Polywood shutters only—we don’t recycle other shutter brands.

This way, you can recycle Polywood shutters at no cost to you. And, together, we’re aiding in keeping the environment green in Miami.
